Sad as Explosion In Konongo Odumase Destroys Lives & Properties  

A devastating explosion occurred at mining shops in Odumasi, near Konongo, within the Asante Akyem Central Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

This tragic incident has resulted in one confirmed death and several injuries, including at least two firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) who were on the scene attempting to manage the situation when the explosion happened.

Eyewitness accounts suggest that the explosion was triggered by mining explosives that were improperly stored inside a shop.

The firefighters, who were responding to a fire at the location, were caught in the blast and sustained various degrees of injuries.
