Oh! Police shoots 17-year-old boy returning from the Mosque after prayers to death

Violent protests have erupted in the Majengo and Pumwani areas of Nairobi following the tragic shooting of a 17-year-old boy, Ibrahim Rahmadan.

The teenager, a Form Three student, was fatally shot during a police operation on Tuesday, March 4, while returning home from the mosque after prayers.

Outraged residents took to the streets, demanding justice for Rahmadan’s death. The protests quickly escalated, with angry demonstrators setting fire to the area chief’s office, the Majengo Police Post, and several private vehicles.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident, but tensions remain high as security forces attempt to restore order in the affected areas.
