Nigerian Police Arrest Naira Marley

Nigerian Musician Naira Marley Arrested in Connection with Former Signee, Mohbad’s Death.

In a recent development, Nigerian musician Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has been arrested by the Nigerian police in relation to the death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

This arrest follows the detention of Naira Marley’s close friend and Lagos socialite, Sam Larry, at the Lagos airport on suspicion of involvement in Mohbad’s death.

Naira Marley, who has denied any involvement in the killing, took to his verified social media page a few hours ago to announce his return to Lagos and express his intention to cooperate with the authorities in the ongoing investigation.

He stated that he wants to do his part for “Imole” (a reference to his fanbase) and hopes that the truth will be uncovered and justice will prevail.

The arrest of Naira Marley has been confirmed by the Nigerian police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, through a post on his social media page.

The post states that Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for interrogation and further investigation activities.
