The recent controversy surrounding the death of musician Mohbad has led to the remand of two individuals: Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry.
The Lagos State Police Command requested that both individuals be remanded for 30 days while the investigation is ongoing. However, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun ruled that they be remanded for a period of 21 days instead.
On Wednesday, a Magistrate Court in Lagos State’s Yaba district ruled that Naira Marley and Sam Larry should be held in police custody. The court’s decision came after the Lagos State Police Command requested the remand of the two individuals.
The police believed that a 30-day remand was necessary for the completion of their investigation into the controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death. However, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun decided that a remand of 21 days would suffice.
