KNUST AGAIN: Akwashie Boys Divide Student’s Eye In To 2, On His Way To Hostel

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is increasingly becoming a place of disturbing and alarming incidents, raising serious concerns about security on campus. Each day, new reports emerge, painting a worrying picture for students and staff alike.

Recently, the campus community was shaken by the discovery of a dead body around 5 AM, later identified as a fourth-year Biological Science student. Reports indicate that the victim was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, sending shockwaves through the university.

Now, another tragic incident has surfaced. A student was brutally attacked on his way to his hostel by an unknown assailant, reportedly an “Akwashie”—a local term for street bullies. The attack left the student with severe head injuries, including damage to one of his eyes.

A heartbreaking photo circulating online shows the extent of the student’s injuries, revealing how the attackers inflicted deep wounds with a cutlass. As of now, the student is receiving urgent medical care at KNUST Hospital.
