King visits Southport to speak to knife attack survivors

King Charles will hold private sit down with children during trip to Merseyside today – before London meeting with families of the three girls who were stabbed to death .

Today, King Charles is visiting Southport, Merseyside, to meet with survivors of a tragic knife attack that occurred during a Taylor Swift-themed dance class. This visit comes after the devastating incident on July 29, 2024, which resulted in the deaths of three young girls: Bebe King (6), Elsie Dot Stancombe (7), and Alice Aguiar (9).

The King will hold a private sit-down with the affected children and their families, providing a supportive environment for those who have been severely traumatized by the attack.

Following the private meeting, he will engage with members of the Southport community outside the Town Hall, demonstrating solidarity with those impacted by the tragedy.

The knife attack left two adults in critical condition and injured nine other children

17-year-old suspect, Axel Muganwa Rudakubana, has been charged with multiple counts of murder and attempted murder. The motivation behind the attack remains unclear, but it is not being treated as terror-related 

This visit by King Charles is part of a broader effort to support the grieving community and honor the memory of the victims.
