Cecilia Dapaah begs court to unfreeze her bank accounts.
Former sanitation minister Cecilia Abena Dapaah has requested the high court order the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to unfreeze her bank accounts.
She claims that the OSP’s actions have caused her financial hardship and stress, leaving her broke. The OSP’s actions are part of an ongoing investigation into corruption and corruption-related activities involving the minister.
On September 11, 2023, the OSP filed an application to confirm the freezing and seizure of a total of GH¢2.83 million.
The case was initially scheduled to be heard on October 18, 2023. However, Dapaah is dissatisfied with this date and has stated in her affidavit that the case should be heard on October 11, 2023.
