Lagos CP to address the press over Sam Larry Arrest.
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested and launched an investigation into the socialite Balogun Eletu, who is also known as Sam Larry, in connection with the death of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
This development has sparked controversies, and the Police Commissioner is scheduled to address the media regarding the case.
According to reports, Sam Larry was detained by the police on Thursday night after willingly accepting their invitation. During questioning by police investigators, he was asked about his relationship with the deceased musician.
According to an exclusive interview with SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police Command, the fate of Sam Larry hinges on the outcome of the ongoing police investigation.
Hundeyin revealed that he was unable to disclose the details of the socialite’s statement to the police. However, he assured that the commissioner of police, Idowu Owohunwa, would soon address the media and provide a comprehensive briefing on the situation.
“Sam Larry is still with us, according to Hundeyin. He’s still being investigated, so I won’t go into detail about our plans just yet; the outcome of that investigation will determine how we proceed.
“I’m not revealing the details of his statement just yet; the Commissioner of Police will speak to the press about the latest development soon, and then I’ll be able to discuss our preliminary findings,” the author said. “
Sam Larry and singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, were previously summoned by the police for questioning regarding the untimely passing of Mohbad.
Last week, the police confirmed that the autopsy conducted by pathologists on Mohbad’s body had been concluded, and they are now awaiting the results.
“Hundeyin, the police spokesperson, confirmed that the autopsy has been completed and we are now awaiting the results,” stated the police.
Furthermore, the nurse who allegedly administered the fatal injection to the deceased singer on September 12 has also been apprehended by the police.
