On the night of Thursday, April 21, 2023, the horrific story of a young woman shot and killed by her alleged boyfriend spread like wildfire on social media.
According to the reports collected, Maa Adwoa was shot five times by her lover yesterday in the front yard of Dufie Towers in Adum, Kumasi due to relationship problems.
The deceased’s brother could not hold back tears as he recounted his last encounter with his sister before her untimely death.
He said in an interview with the media that Maa Adwoa showered and dressed up to meet people last night, but he forced her to abort the mission.
After several attempts to stop her, she turned him down, he said. About 20 minutes later, he heard gunshots outside and arrived to find his sister lying in a pool of blood.
According to sources, the boyfriend, named Thakum – who is now at large – had suspected and accused the young woman of being unfaithful to him, but she has always denied the allegations.
This went on for a while, causing the woman to grow weary of the allegation. She was pissed off and broke up with the guy who was always accusing her of cheating.
Soon, the boyfriend began begging her to forget about it and hope they could get back together, but the woman refused.
This enraged the boyfriend, who drew his gun and shot her several times before leaving the scene.
He is currently at large and police have launched a manhunt to secure his arrest.
