Some people wished me to fail – Otto Addo clears the air
Otto Addo, the Black Stars’ outgoing coach, believes his appointment was controversial. Following Ghana’s elimination from the World Cup, coach Addo resigned.
During a press conference at the team’s hotel in Doha, Otto Addo claimed his job was attained with much criticism, with some Ghanaians wanting him to fail, which obviously happened in the World Cup.
“I would never understand the mentality of those who think against a human failing, and some humans are doing this,” he said.
The former Black Stars player stated that he was not afraid of the attacks against him because of his club and national team experience.
“I don’t fear any of your critics, I’ve been so long in the game and I’m used to this. For me, it is not a problem, I don’t fear anything, just God,” he said.
