The Executive Council of the Church of Pentecost (COP) has called for a nationwide fast and prayer meeting for all COP members to begin on Thursday, November 10.
According to reports, a letter circulating around urges members to “pray and plead for the country and the world community” and is dated Saturday, November 5.
“We should also pray for wisdom for our leaders to find immediate answers to these difficulties,” said the circular, which was signed by COP Chairman Apostle Eric Nyamekye.
The fasting and prayers will conclude on Sunday, November 13, with the theme: ‘So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and He answered our prayer’ (Ezra 8:23).
Regardless of the difficulties, Apostle Nyamekye encouraged believers to “continue believing God in the faith that He will respond to our prayers and offer comfort to the country.”
