According to information spreading on social media, another dead body has been discovered at Wa in the Upper West Region.
The unidentified dead body was discovered shallowly buried near the new edifice near the Wa Municipal Assembly.
The dead is thought to have been attacked in the early hours of September 20, 2022.
However, some garments believed to be the deceased’s were burned at the scene.
This takes the total number of security guards allegedly murdered in Wa to three by September 2022.
On September 19, 2022, one suspect, Kankani Adongo, was detained in connection with the killings in Wa, and police custody assisted with the investigation.
The Ghana Police Service has offered a GHC100,000 reward to anyone who can help the police apprehend the culprits of the Wa killings.
“We continue to encourage anyone with genuine information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the culprits to come forward and share it with the Police.”
According to the police, a review of intelligence gathered thus far indicates that there may be more than one individual engaged in this horrible murder, and they have promised to do all it takes to apprehend them and bring them to justice.
