Today is Founders’ Day and it is August 4th, 2022. Ghanaians are expected to honor their ancestors for their contributions to the nation’s growth on this state holiday. Most people have pondered the identity of Ghana’s true founder.
In fact, some Ghanaians disagree with the notion that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the country’s first president, was the founder. However, one of Ghana’s journalists did justice to this discussion by asking the current President what his father, Ghana’s second president, accomplished for the country and its citizens.
He boldly told him that, his father did not even build a kiosk for Ghanaians, so he cannot be considered a founder of Ghana.
